BRIEFLYNo stone unturned |

It is hard to enter UNT’s new Chemistry Building without learning something about chemistry. Dr. Weston Borden, the first Welch Chair in Chemistry, describes the building as a “living chemistry lesson.” Sidewalks to the building feature engraved key moments in the history of chemistry and a list of elements by their dates of discovery. A periodic table made of stone gives donors an opportunity to sponsor an element and honor someone. A virtual periodic chart inside the building features samples of the elements, and another indoor display outlines the history of chemistry at UNT in photos and articles.
